Summer 2026

Final Projects in Social Sciences (Integrative Seminar)

The goal of the Summer 2026 Integrative Seminar is for students to produce their first university-like larger research paper.

This portfolio displays the hard work of students near the end of their Social Science studies while at Dawson. The goal is to make their work available to friends, family, and anyone else who’s interested in reading their work.

The theme of the class was “The Modern Crisis of Meaning”. Students had to select a topic with a link to the difficulties of modern people in their quest for meaning.

The Integrative Seminar requires each paper to explore the chosen topic using three social disciplines, for instance, psychology, sociology, and political science.

These papers are a result of their hard work during a very brief intensive summer semester and are a testament to their learning while at Dawson.

Select a paper below under one of the two paper themes.
